A memorial company that started with one man who nearly disappeared without a trace.
RemainWithMe exists because a good man almost disappeared without a trace.
In March 2025, my stepfather Todd passed away.
A member of his family chose a direct cremation. No service. No obituary. No notice in the paper. They loved him. They also could not afford to spend $8,000 the family did not have. They did the best they could with what was in front of them.
But it sat with me. Todd had a whole life. He deserved more than a quiet disappearance.
So I built him a memorial: toddkibbeymemorial.com. When it was finished, the family saw it and cried — not because the cremation was wrong, but because, finally, there was a place where Todd existed again.
RemainWithMe is the version of that act anyone can buy. We built it for families like ours — who chose cremation for the right reasons, and still wanted somewhere to put their love.
Direct cremation is often the right, responsible decision for a family. It should not mean a person goes unmarked.
You can download a complete archive of your memorial at any time, and the custom domain can be transferred to you. The page belongs to you regardless of what happens to us.
If a family cannot renew, we absorb the hosting cost and the memorial stays exactly where it is, at the same address.
No countdown timers, no pressure, no follow-up campaigns aimed at people who are grieving. If you are not ready, you are not ready.
RemainWithMe is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. When you email or call, you reach Tim directly — not a queue.
