These terms cover the memorial page you create for your baby at RemainWithMe. They are written to be read once, in plain words, at a time when reading anything is hard.
RemainWithMe is a memorial website service based in Charlotte, North Carolina. You can reach a real person at tim@remainwith.me or (704) 727-6527.
You are making a private webpage for your baby. You build it yourself, in your own words, in your own time. Nothing is published until you say so, and you can stop partway through and come back whenever you want. There is no deadline and no one waiting on you.
A memorial page for a baby is $295, paid once. There is no subscription, no renewal, and no recurring charge of any kind. The page stays for as long as you want it to.
You are not asked for anything while you are writing. You build the whole page for free, and you see all of it in a private preview first. Payment only comes up at the moment you choose to make the page visible to other people.
If you decide not to pay, nothing is taken away from you. Your writing, your photos, your private preview and your downloads all stay exactly as they are, for as long as you want them. The only thing payment changes is whether anyone else can open the page.
If the cost is the reason you are hesitating, please write to us anyway. We will send you a code that removes the fee. We will make sure your baby has a page.
Everything you upload stays yours — the photographs, the recordings, the words, all of it. You are giving us permission to store it and show it on the page you are building, and nothing else. We do not sell it. We do not license it. We do not put it in advertising. We do not use it to train anything.
If RemainWithMe ever closes its doors, we hand you every file — the words, the photographs, the whole page — so nothing your baby left behind is lost. You can also download that complete copy yourself, at any time, without asking us.
You can edit the page whenever you like from your private dashboard. You can change who is able to see it, or take it down entirely. If you ask us to delete it, we will, and that deletion is permanent.
Please only upload material you have the right to share. Please do not use RemainWithMe to publish anything unlawful, to harass anyone, or to make a page about a living person without their consent.
If you invite family and friends to write to your baby, what they write comes to you first. Nothing anyone else writes appears on the page until you have read it and allowed it. You can remove anything, at any time, without explaining why.
We keep backups, and we take that seriously. But these files are irreplaceable, so please also keep your own copies of the original photographs and videos. Download the complete copy of the page from your dashboard from time to time.
We work to keep every page online without interruption. We cannot promise perfection — hosting depends on other companies and occasional maintenance happens — but if something is wrong with your baby's page, write to us and we will fix it.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim relating to this service is limited to what you paid us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
If we change these terms, the updated version appears here with a new date below.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
